Chappell said after the defeat that senior players tried to keep newcomers away.If he was sincere he should not have been a party to that.

Sunil Gavasker is entitled to his opinion and no doubt he is a great cricketer..........but i think it was not all chappel's fault.......team and managment is to be blamed Equally ! though chappel's policies could not suit the team......but he didn't tell Sachin, sehwag, Dravid etc not to perform at all....they are great players and they also bore some responsiblities ! why didn't they fulfill that? Sorry but everyone in the managment and in the team should be blamed for this failure not chappel alone !

Because SUNIL GAVASKAR is the undisputed player in Cricket and has abundant knowledge in cricket. So he can criticise anybody he wants. This is want he thinks. Who is Sunil gavaskar? He was just a player. Just being a Maharashtrian and since he is in Mumbai he is talking and people listen to him.

We have to blame somebody for the defeats. He is not Indian so blame him. Remember it is not he who played. You have to blame the players only. Small country players of Sri lanka and Bagaladesh can play sustained good cricket why we cannot play? All most all the players were there even before he became a coach. So how you can find fault with him.

Think.

No, I dont think so chappel is only the responsible for world cup loss.As i am indian cricket fan, so just i wanted to give my opinion.I donot want to pin point anybody,(like gavesker) ,but my answer will say that gavesker is the wrong.
Our problem start from selection commity.as all indian experts are saying that Indian bastmens are very good player of the spinner.if this was true than loss 96 world cup(against murli,jaysuriya),2007 bangladesh ,srilanka-we could not score against only the spinner.indian player like tendulker, dravid, ganguly donot know how to play a swipp shot.this three thirty thousand are not ready to change him self still they are in team because of this selection commity and experts like gavesker.how can they blame chapple.

Since everybody has freedom to express his opinion in each and every thing, Sunil Gavaskar can express whatever he feels. However, whatever he states need not be correct. I dont think that Greg Chappal cannot be blamedfor the pathetic performance of Indian Players in the world cup.

Whether he was responsible or not, he became an easier scape goat in the hands of the former cricketers. Gavaskar, in particular should visit down memory lane and find out if he took responsiblity of denying India the World Cup in 1987 when it was played here in India.

If we blame Chappal for team's poor performance,
whom we blame Gavaskar's 36* in 60 overs in 1st world cup..?
Is it also the fault of the Coach or team Manager......?
