specially in yahoo messenger some on tell the detail of what others are chatting about, how can they see other's chat window? even if we change to a new id, the other person sees it even without adding them to our buddy list..!! is it a spy? if so will they be able to open the email aswell?how can we prevent it? how can we secure it?

There's a few things you can do. You need anti-spyware, anti-virus, anti-adware, and firewall protection.
The firewall protection is key I think. If someone is spying on you the malicious software will call home giving the culprit your information. The firewall will notify you before the data is transferred out so you can block it. The other tools will help remove it. You can get all the stuff for free.
