Fox cover 19 teams this year next year it will be 20 with the royals. They also have the national televise games and the playoffs and world series. Living in los angeles i learn to hate fox they have a monopoly in all los angeles sports.what really drives me insane is how they angels game right before Dodger games. the announcer also do both teams and get them confused they also seem clumsy and just plain dumb. even though they have two channels they still show angel players in Dodger shows. also you can't tell the difference between Dodger games in los angeles or pirates games in pittsburgh.

I can easily say that I never watch or not watch a baseball game because of crumby announcing. There's so many annoying announcers out there, that I've learned to just tune them out if I need to. As a Mets fan lost in the south, I LOVE my MLB Extra Innings package along with MLB.tv. I'm able to watch my team and all the other games all year. These games are nearly all covered by FSN channels. It doesn't bother me if the announcers are boring or ignorant. Also, I've noticed the ugly quality from these channels at times, I hope they can improve on that. However, I'm flipping between the Mets game, any NL East rivals games, keeping up with fantasy players, and occasionally I'll check on a Barry Bonds at bat in San Fran. I'll gladly accept having the ability to see all these games, even if the majority of them come from a monopoly that maximizes its profits by cutting back on quality.

My real objection would be with the blackout rules. I live in the NW tip of Florida, nearly in Alabama. Devil Rays and Marlins games are still blacked out! FSN Florida allows me to catch a good amount of the Marlins/Mets games but I end up missing a few due to blackouts each year.

FSN isn't very good, and neither is the National Fox network. The local broadcasts seem to be a little underfunded with bad picture quality (and at least in Kasas City where I live) poor announcing. On the national coverage they have the opposite problem. Baseball is a traditional game and they make it look way too modern with all the flashy graphics and crap they use. The announcing is usally better, but again that is probably due to where I live. I don't have a problem with them covering a lot of teams, because at least here no one else seems to want to do it, but the quality of the broadcast could be better.

PLEASE...review what you post before submitting it! (Try reading it aloud to see if it makes sense.)

Posting confusing questions can cause people to not answer you.

From what I can piece together, FOX has managed to all-but obtain a monopoly on airing sports of any kind in your market. You don't like this.

Two replies - One: Tough that's life in the big bad world of Network TV. Whomever pays most obtains the license. Two: Monopolies in the US are illegal...if you complain in the right ear, you could change things...unlikely, but you never know.

I also gather that you don't like the colour commentators. Call up and COMPLAIN... Write in complaints... start a petition to have them hire some real talent.

Suggestion: put the game on TV, mute it, and tune in the local sports radio station, y'know, the one that airs the games live?

Lastly, unlikely it will work much, but contact FOX Sports' sponsors and advise them that due to their sponsoring of such sub-standard and disappointing programming, you will be boycotting their products. This one is called "Hitting them where it hurts"...sometimes it works, as the SPONSOR starts pressuring the station to change or loose the contract.

Please FOX, get Tim McCarver out of the booth. He might hold 4 of the top 5 spots in the dumbest things I've ever heard category. I enjoy Joe Buck, but McCarver is unbearable.

I'm just glad someone is covering baseball so as many fans as possible can see games. Isn't that what is most important??

Chow!!
