I have a Dell Dimension E521 with a 305 watt power source I think. The card needs 350 watts at the minimum. Is there a power supply that is minimum of 350 watts and is compatible with the E521?

The 7900GT is just a 48 watter but the GTX is an 84 watter. They may or may not work with a 350W power supply unit (PSU). In case it works, the PSU or one of its voltage rails could be stressed to its limit and soon develop instability problem.

Go for a 400W PSU for the GT and 450W if you get the GTX. PSUs run cooler and last longer if the load is 80% or less. BTW, PSUs are rated for maximum output and not minimum.

For compatibility, measure the width of your Dell PSU. Retail 12V ATX PSUs have 150mm width (5.9 in.). They should have the same width to insure alignment of the mounting holes.

This one should work. Dell does take a special power supply. If your looking for something cheaper this site does have smaller ones but I would recommend this with running a 7900 http://www.pcpower.com/products/viewproduct.php?show=S47D
