yes there are probably more you should get some decon mouse poison then put it around where you saw the mice. Make sure kids can't get to it. You sweep up the decon that gets knocked out of the box every day and when there isn't any more getting knocked out all the mice are gone. Then go around and look for places mice can get into your house. When i was a kid we had field mice and they came into the house by the gas valve for the fireplace because it was in the wood floor. My mom put steel wool around everywhere that was big enough for a mouse to fit thru.

The cat is perfectly safe to be brought inside, you can brush his teeth if the mouse breath is bothering you but you really don't need to. Yes it probably means there are mice in your garage, or that the mouse wandered in looking for food If he hasn't eaten any of it then its quite possible that he caught the mouse for you as a present (isn't he a thoughtful cat) just be glad he killed it rather than bringing in a half dead, frightened mouse and letting it loose in the kitchen, that's what my cat used to do so then i could either kill the mouse or watch it suffer :( You can leave it but if its hot then the mouse will smell and you'll get insects eating it and it will just be far more gross by the morning, you are better off getting a bit of card and picking it up. And no you don't need to take him to the vet, cats like to catch mice, it won't do him any harm. Chances are if he used to be an outdoor cat then he has caught mice many times before without you even knowing about it!

No. There can't be more. The limit for mice in any one house is three. Mice know this.
Of course there could be more. Get an exterminator in there and get rid of the filthy creatures asap.

If you have mice then they have food.. Food attracts mice. Keep all food closed and enclosed. Buy mouse traps. Use peanut butter for bait. check where they are coming in to your house. Poison will kill them. But they may die where you cant get to them and they stink when the decompose.

May well be more. Just keep baiting the traps, and keep an eye out for droppings, especially where you have food located. Keep reloading the traps and when they stop catching mice then you may be good. good luck.

get a cat.
you probably wont kill all of them no matter what you do they will come back unless you are willing to spend a lot of money on changing things about your house.
mice are one of the most prolific speicies.
you can set traps but honestly mice breed so fast that they will just come back.
cats are good for getting rid of mice.
mice fear cats.

There certainly could be more, there probably are more, and there almost certainly will be more. Look for cracks or holes through which they might be getting in, and seal these up with steel wool or mortar.
