Nothing significant will happen to your car, a 1/2 quart of oil in a car motor is like taking a pee in the ocean, it won't change anything. Plus depending on the make and mileage of the car a half quart might not be a bad idea because heck, you might burn that off in a course of 3months

You shouldn't have any problem. That isn't enough to make the oil level hit the crankshaft and bubble the oil. Just watch what you are doing the next time. Good luck

you're able to desire to alter oil AND filter out each and every 3 to 6 thousand miles. the concern with not doing that's that oil gets grimy, regardless of a filter out and the combustion technique contaminates the oil with acid. permit it pass long sufficient and the filter out clogs so there is not any filtration of airborne dirt and dirt and metallic debris and the acid builds to the point that it eats away engine aspects maximum appropriate to early engine failure. in case you're having to characteristic oil often then you particularly the two have a leaky gasket someplace or the acid and airborne dirt and dirt have worn aspects to the ingredient that your engine is burning oil. in case you spot a bluish smoke popping out of your exhaust you're burning oil.

NOTHING. IF IT'S ALREADY IN THE CAR DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT. HOWEVER, I WOULD NOT INTENTIONALLY OVERFILL THE CRANKCASE.
