From what I recall from Heidegger, Husserl & Hegel (been years since I read) the priniciple of allowing things to BE themselves without viewing them through the filter of any preconceptions is the method. Just pure observation of phenomena, or as is said, "to the things themselves." This is extremely simple, but extremely difficult because it's hard not to add our own interpretation to experience.
