A culture can't kill another culture, but a people surely can. A race can remove and forget its culture entirely if it does not practice it seriously, or takes it for granted. A tribe for example that spreads and sustains its culture through song and art may lose its culture eventually if its own people forget the literature practiced. Through modernization in writing and song, the descendants of that tribe may fall to today's music and completely disregard their own culture.

yes, if the dominant culture has the savagery and disregard for the others values and belief system to do so. the Europeans are doing it as we speak, many Native Americans have lost there culture. in fact many religious ceremonies where outlawed by the government to assure this.

The Mesopotamians disappeared when the Egyptians came into power. The Egyptians disappeared when Alexander the Great came into power. The Greeks disappeared when the Romans took over.
Right now the Communists have killed Tzarist Russia and Imperial China. Imperial China has a history of thousands of years of one Dynasty after another.
And American media so dominates the world that more kids in Africa know the words to the latest rap song than they do the history of their own people.
When one country, people, or government come into power, they do their best to erase the memories of their enemies from the people they have conquered. The Egyptians used to erase the names of the past rulers from their monuments and carve their own in their place. We see it today when fans drop the last one-hit-wonder in favor of the next one-hit-wonder, and suddenly posters of the last guy become the biggest joke in the world. It's happening before our eyes every day. Yes, one culture can kill another culture. It happens all the time.

yes. charlemagne killed off the germanic pagan ways, literally. the spaniards wiped out not only the aztecs, but also the incans and myans. or i should say the christian culture of europe killed off the indigenous cultures of the americas.
moreover a culture of penicillan will kill a culture of salmonella.
however, as the world becomes more interconnected, and tolerance and moderation are taught to the children; i think it will become more a matter of integration and assimilation will occour more than cultural death.

Yes.
And they can do a lot of damage too.
Look what christianity did to the pagan religions.
Many died and many went underground, we are only just now beginning to see them resurface.
Blessed Be!
