I have a souvenir pocket knife, but I want to dull the blade, so it can't be dangerous. I don't have any interest in it ever being used as a knife. Any suggestions on how to do that? Would removing the blade and just keeping the commemorative casing be possible? Thank you for any help you can provide.

just super glue it shut. then you wont have to worry about the blade at all. and you still get to keep it as a paper weight., but if you want it to stay functional, then just abuse the blade. cut rocks, bricks, and what not.

Depending on how dull you want to make it, you can hold it perpendicular to the concrete sidewalk and drag the blade across it a bunch of times, you can also take a grinder and grind the edge flat. Since you will want to display the knife, I don't think it would be too good to remove the blade.. good luck

do you have access to a grinder? if not just find a brick, place on the sidewalk etc etc,, rub the edge of the blade back and forth on this and it will soon get dull enough,,if you really want to break the blade,, stick it in a crack and snap it off,, keep your face turned away so you don't get anything fflying into your eyes,
