I think cinema stars have the right to involve themselves into politics if they so choose. They have the freedom to say what they want with the world as their audience.
Does that mean I'm going to buy into anything political that a famous actor or actress says just because they are famous? Nope. Being famous itself doesn't garauntee that you are more knowledgeable on any political subject than some non-famous everyday commoner like me. You'd better be able to back up your political views with credible facts.

Cinema stars have a right to express their opinions as much as the rest of us do. If they want to run for office, they must follow the same rules as other candidates. Some of them are qualified, some are not. I look at positions, not their filmography.

They are at least better than some of the politicians having long and horrendous criminal record. We will now have real actors playing the real life drama called Politics.
