I built a model and i need a substitution for water!?
i need help! I have a model due for tomorrow and i have a dilemna. its a model that represents an iceburg in the ocean. I made a 12inx12in cub of plexi-glass and within it i have iceburgs. I poured gel wax to represent water but it only filled up about 1/6th of my cube and i need to fill in at least half. My class is in a few hours! What can i do to represent water and add onto my gel wax????

It doesn't matter because you are going to spell it "iceburg" and your teacher will just laugh and you. And then flunk you.

A burg is a town. A berg is ice. You didn't even study your topic enough to learn how to spell it, and then you started construction way too late and ran out of material.

You probably think spelling doesn't matter, but it does. Your readers need to know you are talking about ice, not a town.

I have no idea how it will look in combination with the gel wax, but I used elmers glue for water in my models....it dries clear. I also added swirls of dye (food coloring) to give it ripples and color. However, if your model is due in a few hours, I would definatly make a test piece before trying so that it doesn't foul things up...

Good luck!

Just draw a water line on the outside of the plexi glass.

Wow... 7 hours is just too little time for any material to dry !!

The only thing I can think of would be gelatin :-?

Oh, and "Kacky"...Berg is actually German for "Mountain"... so Ice-Berg is an Ice-mountain... rather than Ice-Ice (baby).

Sorry for the Vanilla-Ice joke
