I need to no how meth affects the brain (i.e meth might increase a certain type of neurotransmitter that causes meth abuse) and any other biological cause for the addiction

Addictive substances effect the dopamine receptors in the brain. Dopamine is the feel-good stuff in the brain neurons. Addictive substances mimic dopamine and thus make a person feel good even when things are really going very badly in the body as a whole.

Addictions can teach us how our conscious self is not in as much control as we would like to think.
