Because as long as he's in office only Congress has the authority to charge Bush with a crime (impeachment) and put him on trial. And, whether he deserves it or not (you're right--he does) even the Democrats aren't going to do so unless they have to. Its a last resort. The main point is the good of the country--not Bush.

Not an attorney? The law requires proof not made up ridiculous charges. No prosecutor can charge the President - the Senate & 3 Chief Justices hear & convict on impeachable offenses. There are no charges because there are no crimes.

He lied the the American Public to get us involved in a war... I'm sure there are rules about such things... I think prosecutors might be afraid of the president and his posse. God I hart the president so much...
