I just notice that most all advertisements have more minorities than majorities. Why is this?

if you live in an urban market then they are not as big a minority as you think. Many major cities are majority Black so you are seeing ads targeted to what is the majority in your area.

It really depends on where you live! Idaho Vs Washington DC!
Idaho (95% white) you will see more Caucasian based advertisements, DC (63% is non-white) you would probably see more minority based advertisements.
Don't believe the hype!

Adam, I've been wondering the same thing. Of all the minority groups, I DEFINITELY think Blacks are over-represented on T.V.

It's just your perception.
In reality, minorities are UNDER represented in television and films in comparison to their population distribution.
You think they are over-represented because you are focusing on them.
If I told you people on TV are more likely to wear red clothing, you would notice the red clothing on TV more.
They would stand out simply because you think they stand out.
It's an illusion of perception, that's all.

Just buy the product if you want to, or don't buy it.
Who cares what color/race/ethnicity the people have who are acting in the commercials?

Because if they aren't, they might vote for someone else and the existing politicians don't want that.

To prevent lawsuits. Plus, when you put all the minorities together, they may make a majority. In High Point, NC, Blacks make up 31.77% of the population. Hispanics and Latinos of any race make up 4.89% of the population. Asians are about 3.35% of the population.

You're wrong. If anything, minorities are underrepresented.
You're using what people call "selective memory"..
