I think it is crazy and stupid and can not understand why people are saying that. I also grew up as a "military brat" and we are not raised to identify with race only. Please let me know??

maybe becaus ehe's not black american. his father is nigerian and his mother is white. he probably doesn't fit the usual "black" person like having ancestors living through slavery or being poor..etc.
