Fresh Prince Of Bell Air is a 90's sitcom that takes place in, none other than, Bel Air. The show starred award winning actor Will Smith. In the show Smith starred as a young man movin from Philly to Bel Air. From that point on he was the self-proclaimed Prince of Bel Air. The "Fresh" section of the title was a whole different story. Smith explained that during that time, "fresh" was a slang adjective that was very popular amongst the youth.

Will Smith was called 'Fresh Prince' when he was younger and doing his singing with DJ Jazzy Jeff. He was then starring in a family sitcom show called "Fresh Prince of Bel Aire".

What does *what* mean? That was a TV show, starring Will Smith (who'd rapped under the name "The Fresh Prince"), and the premise was a poor kid moving to a posh neighborhood - that is, Bel Air. There aren't any subtle, hidden meanings in the title.
