Get some experience with public speaking. Politicians have to do lots of it. Then, get involved in politics at the community level. Run for school board president or city council member or some other, low level position. While you're doing this, do some networking and make some connections with other people to get your name out and gain supporters. Since we live in a partisan system, it would also be advisable to get involved with the political party of your choice (the people with whom you've made connections could most certainly help you with this). Then, hopefully, you can work your way all the way up to Parliament some day. Best of luck!

Get real good at not telling the truth. Practice on your parents other family members and friends. These are among the people you will ultimately mislead once in power. Power to the people man just don't let them know they actually have some by exercising their right to vote and think for themselves. Tell them what they need to know after all, most politicians believe that the majority of people are ignorant and must be governed in their best interest as determined by the social elite.

Research your political party at a local level and get involved . They will be able to tell you of election dates and local offices that will be on the ballot.
Plus how long before the election you need to voice your willingness to run for office and if you need to file any paper work to get your name on the ballot.
