Spicy food will give you a terrible case of indigestion. Not a good idea. The normal process for birth has the baby turning or presenting so the head enters the birth cannel. Yes this is sometimes referred to as "dropping", but it is not always the case. Other not so good ideas are jumping up and down, castor oil or other injested remedys. As it is a full moon, which has nothing to do with it, (but my years of ER service could argue that) I would say to you--PATIENCE- you may see cute results in less that 36 hours.

My baby never dropped, atleast it wasn't extremely visible. Try walking around the block, or let your significant other rub your feet...there are some pressure points that can send you into labor. I know you are impatient but it is best to let nature run it's course. I just had my first son 8 months ago and it wasn't until I finally relaxed that I went into labor. Stay at home as long as you can, you will only be sitting and waiting in a hospital room. Most likely your first will be late anyway...but everyone is different. Good luck to you and your baby I am excited for you!

Babies do not always drop before labor, but first ones usually do.You cannot induce labor by eating peppers - but you can induce killer heartburn!
Babies come when they are ready. Most of the things that 'they' tell you to do don't work, but will make you uncomfortable. My husband and I tried all the safe ones - I still went over my due date with both and had to be induced.

My baby did not drop until labor started. I did the following things to get my labor started: had sex, went for a long walk, ate a pineapple, ate spicy food, bounced on a birthing ball, and drank tonic water. (I went into labor 2 hours after the tonic water) Good luck, hope it is soon. :)

None!! Honey they will give you the runs and you do not need it. When the time is right the baby will come and I promise you there is no help in getting gas and diarrhea. Do not do stuff to make the baby come early it can hurt you and when it is time it will happen. You can start labor without dropping but then it might increase your need for a c section. Please talk to your doctor and just try to be patient. I promise it will be over soon. (just be glad it isn't Summer time) Best of luck

writing under bfs name)no youre baby doesnt have to drop for you to go into labor especially if this isnt your first, you may not even have noticed if th baby did or not too.spicy food doesnt work,i read in a pregnancy book that stimutating the nipples releases hormones to get it started but what worked for me was a walk around the block and then a romp in the bed iwent in to labor that night one week eary and had my son on new years day!

s.e.x. and fresh pineapple both contain the right hormone required but unfortunately it will come out in its own sweet time.
