Is 9 ct gold just costume jewelry? Will it tarnish or turn green? Or is it "real" gold?

The higher the kt/ct number, the more gold that's in it. 12 kt is 50% gold and 24 kt is considered pure gold. So, 9 kt isn't really costume jewelry, to me costume jewelry is cheap plastic stuff lol, but it's not valued as high because there's less gold content in it. I'm not sure if it'll tarnish or not, it depends on what other metal is used in conjunction with it, and how good of quality it is.

Its 37.5 % gold, with 62.4% mixed metals, copper, silver, nickel. It may tarnish, and or cause an allegeric reaction. Depends on your sensitivity. I have to wear 22K / 24K . I will Itch and turn red where the chain makes contact with my skin.

It is real gold, but not pure gold. It is alloyed for hardness, and contains only 37.5% gold, the rest being base metal alloy.
