You made plans with a friend and were set to meet at a certain time somewhere and they didn't show up.....and wouldn't answer their cell or house phone?

Unless they were sick or dying....or someone very close to them was sick or dying....we would have a really big problem

I hate people being irresponsible.

Yes I would. I'd certainly be making myself unavailable to them for some time to come. I wouldn't even bother trying to chase them down for an explanation....if they have a worthy one, let them chase YOU down to give it!!
If something had gone wrong, they would have called you, or had someone else call you (just like you would have called them or had someone else get a hold of them if there was a problem on your end)....the cell phone and answering machine wouldn't be turned off. Bad news always travels fast!
Turning the phone off is a coward's way of dealing with whatever issue they are having at the moment.

I would be so angry.. that is freakin ignorant.. the least they could do is drop you a text or voicemail or something to let you know! Unless it was a life threatening emergency then i would not let it go! Let the person know that upset you! Also depends.. how far in advance you planned to meet.. where u were going to meet etc. ... maybe she forgot.... if she didn't she is damn ignorant.. :)

That would completely annoy me, it is one of my worst pet peeves. The least a person can do is call and say they are not going to show.
Of course if there is a good reason afterwards then I would understand, but if they just forgot or didn't care, then I would be really annoyed.

If the friend was usually prompt and called if something came up I would be worried.

If it was a flaky friend I would be infuriated and begin to back away after I sounded off on them. That is not how I treat my friends nor is it how I want to be treated!

Yes. I speak from personal experience and this happened with a friend during Feb/March. I gave her chance after chance...needless to say, i broke it off with her. i wasnt made in some factory to be a door mat...so I definitely wont be treated like one!

First, I would want to make sure they were not hurt or in an accident.

Then, if they were not in the hospital, yes I would be ticked.

Probably. Sorry if that happened to you. Sometimes life happens. 99% of the rest of the time people are just rude.
