Gee Whiz! I'm so sorry for you. It was $2.85 here today (small town Missouri) and I thought that was really bad!!!

Unlikely. There is no real shortage. The oil companies are just gouging the consumers, and demand has fallen. The oil companies will keep raising prices until demand falls, and then a glut of gasoline appears in the market. That is their signal that the consumers are not willing to pay any higher prices than they are charging. Then they will stop raising prices.

Here in East Texas, it's just under $3 a gallon (about $2.75).

What a rip-off, huh?

I got it relatively good-2.79 a gallon. But my boss says its going up again when he gets his next load of gas.

Went by a gas station today and it was back down to $2.86 a gallon from $2.99 a gallon. Crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hicktown went up 20 cents in a week, it's now $2.94 and it cost me $31.50 to fill up! Ridiculous!!!
