Some women have regular period cycles (which means they have a period around the same time every month) while others have irregular periods.

When you are young, it is not unusual that your period can be irregular. Every women is different. However, if you notice strange secretions (strange color or very bad smell), then there might be a problem and you should consult a doctor to make sure you are healthy or that you to seek medical treatment if there is something wrong.

If you have had sexual relationships, even if this was your first period, you could be pregnant. Not all women have nausea when they are, and your belly won't be "the size of a car" right away. Again, the best way to find out is to consult a doctor.

I hope this helped!

I used to get a period like every 10 months ever since I first started. It turned out I have polycystical ovary syndrome which means I have tiny cysts in my ovaries- not bad unless they're big, my sister had one that almost ruptured her ovary and had to have emergency surgery. So you would need to have your gynecologist tell you. Anyway, if you have what I do, I believe it was in my early 20's they just had me get on the pill and that makes you menstruate every month. It's important to make you menstruate otherwise I think it increases your chances of cancer but I remember they told me it didn't have to be every month, I could go I think it was 4 months a year without menstruating. Don't worry about it, just go to the doc. Oh and if you want to get pregnant they have to help you I guess with medication. I've never gotten pregnant.

it is very normal for someone who has thier 1st period to not have a regular period monthly in the beginning. I didn't and neither did either of my daughters, there was about 6 months between the 1st and 2nd and they were irregular for a while for all of us. If your concerned talk to a Dr. or call the health department.

No, this is not strange. You tend to be irregular around the time of your first period. I'm in my early 20s, and I'm still irregular, but that has to do with my lifestyle.

Your period may be irregular especially if you're athletic (which is fine, as long as you're eating well) and also if you're not eating enough (which is not good).

You should go to your physician and get a check up. Maybe you are a little abnormal when it comes to period. I'm sure your doctor can prescribe something.

WHEN A GIRL GET HER PERIOD THERE CAN BE LAPSES IN FREQUENCY UNTIL SOME TIME LATER.
YOUR HORMONE LEVELS HAVE TO COME TO EQUILIBRIUM AND THEN YOUR PERIODS WILL BE AS REGULAR AS A CLOCK. DON'T BE SCARED. EVERYTHING IS NORMAL.

It could be that you are freaking out about the whole thing and your stress is keeping you from starting... sometimes that happens. Don't worry so much.
