what is up, why can't we just go in and wipe out the enemy with a strong force.

it's like were peeing on a fire when we really need a bucket to put it out.

If were going to be at war, why not hit them hard and end it. Insted were just poking at a wound and expecting it to heal.

so what is it that is getting in the way of a full on attack in Iraq...I know it's a lot of politics but I want to know.

thanks

Why aren't we winning? Simple, 200,000 Americans vs. 18 million Arabs.

The war was won by the military. Their army was crushed. Their dictator was captured, tried, convicted, and put to death. The problem now is with the Iraqi people themselves. They must want a democracy in order for it to work. We can only do so much. We can lead them to water, but they must drink. Unlike a dictatorship, democracy can not be forced on anyone, it is something that must be desired by the people, a people yearning to be free. But all I see in Iraq is people yearning to kill each other because of their so called "faith". I am not sure the last objective will ever be accomplished in Iraq, that being a successful democracy.

We won the war! We outed the madman and his whole regime destroying the entire government that ran Iraq. We are now in a post war battle with insurgents which traditionally takes 10 years to squash. Of course people are beating the drum of defeat when their agenda calls for it. This ticks me off because we have young people dying trying to help a country in a post war atmosphere.

This is the new PC Millitary. The house is democrat and a victory for us is bad for them in this election. I agree, we backed off way too early, like in 1991, now look, we're back again and losing good men and women because the dems couldn't afford to see us finish it.

They just tried to cut funding, why?

The insurgents are hiding amidst the regular Iraqi people so you can't flush them out easily.

That is how the terrorist's operate - sneak attacks.

Study our own American revolution. We never won and never will win,. because we already lost 3100 plus 25, 000 injured to the tune of 500 billion dollars wasted. A travesty, considering Bush was never really ever honestly elected even once.
