How fast do freshwater mussels move?

As fast as they did in the other question. I'd say a foot a second when they move, but they have to "reload" to move a second time.

A one-inch clam can dig itself under in less than ten seconds. That's pretty fast. Can you dig a hole to bury yourself in ten seconds?
