Typically it is the first sign of being pregnant, however, there are women who have had periods into their pregnacy. I was 5 months along before I found out I was pregnant because I had a period the entire time. I was on the pill too which makes my period light anyway. I had a perfectly healthy baby boy.

Nothing is "normal" but yes it is common1 I had bleeding in all three of my pregnancies...
How far along are you? Its most common early on, but I have read recently researching another answer that it can happen through all 9 months and it isnt dangerous.
If you are in the earliest stages I would confirm the pregnancy and at any stage would ask for reassurance from the midwife. not that i think there is anything to worry about, but anything i tell you here is not going to be as reassuring as the midwife saying it to you in person!
So please don't panic.

Lots of luck.

it is totally usual to have a overdue era. My era is in no way on time, constantly some days early or overdue. yet you would be assure that while you're pregnant, you will no longer have your era. the liner if your uterus is there to help the toddler. It won't shed once you pregnant. So do no longer difficulty, as long as your era ended up coming. yellowish discharge is likewise usual, until it smells very strongly or there is itchiness or soreness.

Bleeding while pregnant is, by definition, not a period, and is never normal. It's not always a dangerous, big deal, but it always has to be evaluated. You need to talk to your OB/GYN.

I sure doubt it's normal, considering you're not releasing any eggs since you're already pregnant and the baby developing WAS that particular egg that was finally released and fertilized.

i had my period all the way through both of my pregnancies. it's not really common but it's not necessarily a problem. talk to your doctor about it to make sure nothing is going on that shouldn't be.

It's not UNcommon, but it also doesn't happen to women frequently. You'll be fine- just keep up with regular check-ups! And congratulations!
