on a DS lite, for the first time, how long do i need to charge it?

i just got my new DS lite today, and i dotn know how long i need to charge it for the first time. plz help, i dont want to over charge or charge less of my DS lite. plz help

you don't need to charge it at all - granted, the initial charge is short, but it's still like 4-6 hours

the battery is a lithium ion - charge memory is minimal, don't worry about that.

the DS can only be charged some 200-250 times before the battery starts to deteriorate, supposedly, so you should only charge when the battery is just about dead.

the light (the green power light that stays on when you play) will turn orange when the charge is half full, and red when it's a quarter full. when you charge, the power light will be accompanied by an orange light. it will automatically turn off all lights when it's fully charged (provided that the DS is off as well)

well yooh have to charge ur DS for about 1 hr and 30 min. well it wont over charge,and yea u dont wanna charge it then have to keep doin it!!

it depends on how long you are going to play it. if you are going to play for a long time try 4 to 6 hours.

it doesnt really matter it doesnt take that long why dont u just charge it and play it at the same time.......
