The bigger problem won't be your seats, but a good cleaning with Lexol would be good for them in any case. Hit all of the other hard surfaces (dash, doors, etc.) with appropriate cleaners while you're at it.
Have the carpets AND the headliner professionally vapor steam cleaned.
Replace any 'cabin filter' if your car is so equipped. Last, you're going to have to deal or live with any remaining smell in your ventilation system. You'd be better off talking to a detail shop about that while they're taking care of the above items. They can use ozone filtration of they sort they use in hotel rooms. Works quite well, especially if they're prepared to leave the engine running for an hour or so with your A/C system set for recirculation of the cabin air.

First air it out. Open all the doorways for an hour or so and basically permit some frsh air flow by using. Then get it exact: a carpet shampoo, vacuum, sprint board cleansing, the works. The shampoo itself could desire to take a good sort of the smell out. And something will make it smell alot greater constructive. After that, spray some Oust or Febreeze for any left over smell. stable success!!

if the SUv has a cabin filter, for the a/c, have it changed then have the carpet steamed cleaned and the seats, and you might want to put the a/c on max and spray an odor neutralizer into the passenger side duct work..or on the carpet where carpet meets the firewall.. and also using just the vents for outside air to come in..put fan on high, and outside, just below the windsheild wipers you will see some vents..spray in there also....

i own a shop and i have done a lot of cleaning them for some customers, you have to shampoo everything that you can ,and wipe and clean everything down in it,and with leather seats you have to use saddle soap on them its formulated to get them clean and help preserve them also, but its going to take some work to get that smell out of it,it goes in easy and is hard to get out, using fe-breeze in it will also help kill the smell out of it,good luck hope this helps.

I had this same problem. you can either go get it detailed and the people will get it out. Or you can vacuum the entire SUV and spray car air freshner and get carpet cleaning spray for the carpets. It worked for me =]
