I don't need an allowance if I never leave your bed. What will I be buying from there?

hmm.....you're hitting too close to home with this question! Hope the fiance doesn't read this. No, I'm kidding.
I believe that if that's an area of weakness for her then yes, it should be taken away until she can learn to have control. For instance, last year I maxed out both my credit cards but was responsible enough to make the payments on time. I realized that this was an area of weakness for me, so my fiance decided that he would take the credit cards away from me until I could learn a little more self control. Once time had passed and I proved myself, he gave them back.
If you're asking should he take spending money away as punishment, I say no because often times I use it to buy food or water, tea, etc on my way to work.

I make my own money. I do not need or want an allowance. If my man has a problem with how I act, he can discuss it with me rationally. If he tries to control my behavior in any way, shape or form, my instinct is to always rebel. Just ask my parents. As a teenager, they had the hardest time controlling me. In fact they couldn't. But the moment they started treating me with respect rather than like a child, they got the behavior they were looking for.

Well that's what a girl gets if she financially depends on a man...if you're a man who supports your wife and then gives her allowances I mean technically you can do that. I think it's important for woman to have their own money put away, even if your husband does support you.
Dude..you better be damn hot because if you're not I don't know what woman is going to marry you with that mentality.

The seems like a fair punishment honey but I no longer want an allowance.
I have decided that it would be much better for you to save your money and buy something you want instead of me just buying new clothes and things I don't really need.
I'll be happy if you are ; )
I love you baby and I'm so grateful you'd be willing to give me an allowance at all!
XOXO

I am gonna guess that you are a single boy posing as a man, who thinks the way to true love is dominance and force. May your horizons be broadened and your eyes opened through living reality instead of some fantasy that has you as king of the world.

Wow! I don't even know where to begin to answer this question. I guess the only thing that I am going to say is that everything in a relationship should be 50/50. There shouldn't be any " taking away of allowances!" That's wrong!

Discipline should always remain as a constant. So if taking away her allowance works the best; then yes.

um... he's not their parent... so obviously not, that's a parents job, and why would a man be giving a girlfriend an allowance? Or a wife for that matter, wouldn't they share the money in that case??

Women get allowances? I need to find me one of those men.
I think it's ok for women to take away sex if her husband/boyfriend doesn't behave right like if he takes away her allowance.
