depends on the address you provide to the person who you bought it from.
if you tell them your home address, they will ship it to your home
if you tell them a P.O. Box, they might ship it there, but many people refuse to ship to a P.O. Box, for good reason (doing so will remove protection provided by eBay)
if it is a large box, and you are not there when the mail carrier comes, they may leave a note on your door telling you they'll try again the next day. if you aren't home again, they might try again, or they might leave a note telling you to pick it up at the post office
in reality, i think the person that can answer this question for you the best is the person you bought it from, not strangers that don't know the surrounding circumstances

You'll receive it by mail. If you're not there while they deliver it to you, you don't have to go to the post office. They'll leave a note on your door notifying you when they'll make another attempt to deliver it to you. So you don't have to worry how you'll get it.
