I can get my CDL training for free, but I dont want to drive cross country, would it be better to get a class B so I am limited to dump trucks and delivery, or should I just get my class A. Would having a class A make me more employable?

Class A is the way to go. There are many different types of driving jobs that do not entail going over the road. Some you might consider are: grocery delivery(to the stores), soda pop/beer deliveries, rock hauling, grain hauling, mail, fuel, chemicals and intermodal With a class A, regional, where you run a few state area is always an option also.

Furthermore, many smaller local companies not only have class B trucks, but also have some semis. A class A would definately give you more options for employment.

If you get a class A it also covers class B trucks.

Get a class A for sure. They have plenty of regional and local hourly jobs you can do that you need a class A for.

Get the Class A. It's nice to have it if you need it. You will have more options open to you.
