Ford F-350 Super Duty. If you're going fairly light, ( 10 -12,000 lbs) you can use the automatic. If you're going to be heavy, I'd go with the manual transmission. Dodge seems to have transmission issues at about 65,000 miles. Chevy's Duramax is an aluminum block, and has alot of maintenance involved. It's fuel milage is'nt as good as Ford's Powerstroke. As far as price, they're all about the same. As far as features, The Silverado is the nicest, the Fords have alot of user friendly features. Dodge makes a nice truck, but they are hard to see out of in the front. Alot of negative space in the front. Ford has the best visability. Check them all out, but I have chosen the Ford, and never regretted it... Killer truck!

Dodge. of course the cummins diesel is unsurpassed for reliability and power, sure it might be a little louder than others but are you looking for less noise or more power. Couple it with a standard six speed transmission or and automatic I recommend standard you could pull a barn. Maneuverability is different with the different classes of trucks but overall good. The interior is also nice although maybe not as luxurious as others. but interior vs. power. As for mileage no one ton gets great mileage, but most dodges get 20 to 22 mpg i don't know what the other trucks get but its probably close to the same.
good luck looking for a truck hope you make a good decision.

I would have to go with the 2008 F-350 Ford with the 6.4 diesel. The diesel is so quiet, that you think it is a gas engine. A lot of new features, and they have upgraded the interior too. Good luck
