Because art is held in higher regard in a lot of other countries. America places more importance in business, money, world affairs, etc. Many schools have even done away with art classes. It's very sad to me.

Competitive ballroom didn't originate in the US. Europe has stronger ballroom traditions. Most of the world top ballroom dancers are not American. However, many good ballroom professionals chose to either immigrate or temporarily work in the US because they can earn good money and improve their own dancing.

nicole, how do the americans not have rythem? Who created jazz? Americans. I'm an american, and ill have more rythm then youll EVER HAVE.

I AM ASSUMINGTHAT IF YOU ARE SAYING FOREING you are American right? O.k. It is simple..americans dont have rythm..(No offense) My mom is american, she cant dance, and most of the Americans I know cant dance. YOU ARE BORN WITH IT!!!!!!!
