do i need a router to use wifi-max for my psp?

do i need a router to use wifi-max for my psp. and wend i try to use the internet it says =communication with the server failed. A DNS error has occurred. please can some one help me

In order for the Wi-Fi max to work you will need to connect it to a Laptop or a Desktop computer that is already connected to the internet, cable or DSL or better. A router is only needed if you have more than one laptop and/or desktop sharing same internet connection.
