I just read in a magazine that a housewife/mother should estimate her salary at 100,000 US dollars a year. So, if you can pay for something to be done at less than $40 per hour, it's worth it! (-: I think there's some faulty reasoning there, but it was interesting that it was placed so high.

Well I think you have to do some research and find out what these jobs are worth/
Cook,Laundry worker, waitress, Secretary.
receptionist, Chauffeur, Maid, Accountant, Shopper, Gardener,
These are just a few of the many things that a Mother and Housewife does each week.
When you find what each one gets for the week, then you can figure out what you are worth.

Priceless!!I personally think her salary should be twice the amount of whatever her husband makes.A housewife does amost all the cleaning, pays bills get the dry cleaning done,is a chaffeaur, office worker, cleaning person, accountant, keeps all records for taxes.Grocery shopper the list is endless,as for mother no one can take her place, she is on call 24-7 for 18 years and most of us beyond that.So she also ought to get all the tax breaks and social serurity as her husband but we don't,someone has to raise all those kids and grandkids too sometimes and for that we have no value from our government.Something for all you gals to think about, afterall when you will need help the most your parents are dead.

She is irreplaceable. I am a single mom, and I wear many hats. I am a cook, a chauffeur, a nurse, a counselor and a maid. Add up those salaries.....oh, and I gave birth. Good luck finding a price on that. LOL.
