I found it on Internet explorer once ,but cannot find it again. It lists the National league teams by name from the beginning of baseball and each year they existed. You could click on the year and it would bring up the roster of players that were on the team that year.

There are a lot of websites that can give you bits and pieces of that info. Baseball Reference.com is the one that comes closest to what you want I think. If you had a site that listed the names of players from the obscure teams from two of the links I have here, please find it and let me know (lol).

I would start with mlb.com and searching specific teams and I believe you can go into the history of the rosters once you get to each major league team's specific website. If you can't find everything you need there, I would suggest going on to wikipedia and searching what ever team you are looking for and you can go back into the history of former rosters. Hope this helps. Good Luck : )

I would try MLB.com and perhaps there's a link to your fave team's history through their web site.

BaseballReference.com rules. Be nice and give Sean munny so he'll keep making it better and better.

Retrosheet.org is some seriously cool beans too.

That and so very, very, very much more.

It's pretty much the first place to look for statistical information on baseball.
