Florida Marlins..... They won the World Series twice in a seven year period and they still can't draw a crowd...

The Florida Marlins (Miami) really need a change of location. Them and the Yankees are the only teams with multiple titles over the last 10 years. Yet they're attendance ranks among the worst in the league.

Tampa Bay is also in the same boat the marlins are with the exception that the Rays have a fairly new stadium. They fail to draw fans at Tropicana Field and there team always ranks low in the standings.

The Minnesota Twins have been one of the best teams in baseball over the last 5 years yet they fail to draw any fan support during non playoff games. They can't get a deal done to build a new stadium in Minneapolis and there current stadium is down right ugly. It's a football stadium that has no business holding baseball games in this day and age.

I would re-locate the Devil Rays to Montreal.
Miami is a great city, so you want to have a team there. Same goes for Montreal. A commitment from ownership and a nice ballpark is all those cities need to draw fans. Montreal was a big draw before the strike in 1994. Then the team was torn apart. The fans were smart not to support that. The same goes for the Marlins. The team is always ripping itself up and threatening to move. Does that sound like a business that deserves support?

Miami is probably the most heinous case today, though I think it's more a case that the city doesn't deserve Jeff Loria as team owner more than anything else.

Tampa appears similarly tragic, but the new ownership and management has been in place barely a year, and they do appear committed to young, homegrown players. They deserve a chance. Screw up like the Naimoli/Lamar regime, though, and folks will start breaking out the torches and pitchforks.

Most of the current cities are drawing fairly well, even the small markets. However, if you had to pick just one city that clearly doesn't deserve major league baseball it would have to be Miami as in the Florida Marlins. They win the freaking World Series twice in a seven year period and their attendance is a joke. When they played the Cubs in playoffs in 03, their fan base was either too lazy or too stupid to conceptualize the magnitude of the occasion. Fortunately the Cub fans picked up the attendance slack.

The MLB should contract the Marlins, D Rays, Rockies, Blue Jays, and Nationals. They wouldn't be missed by 95% of the country.

I hope the MLB never moves a team to New Orleans. People would get mugged in the concession stand line and cars would be stolen fromt the parking lot during the game. It's not like New Orleans PD would stop them.

Whoever said Milwaukee obviously doesn't know baseball. Selig sold out his interest in the team a few years ago to Mark Attanasio. Second, Milwaukee has shown its passion for baseball time and again. 60000+ fans (mostly Wisconsin Residents) showed up when the Angels played a three game series against the Indians when Jacobs field was snowed in. After the Braves left for Atlanta, Selig talked the White Sox into playing nine games in Milwaukee. 264,297 showed up. 539,478 fans went to the 58 games in Chicago. Lets do the math, that is 29366 fans per game in Milwaukee, 9301per game in Chicago, and this is a Chicago team we are talking about. Don't knock Milwaukee because of Selig, we don't like him either. His B**** daughter spent the 90's destroying the team.

I think Tampa Bay should move up here to Detroit and become a National League team. Washington should move out to New Orleans and Kansas City needs to move to Las Vegas.

I'm sure some small market teams will be named here, but I think that the Atlanta Braves don't deserve a team.

Any city or team that can't sell out playoff games is ludicrous. It's easy to throw Tampa and KC around, as they struggle every year. Atlanta has been a top team for years, and no one down there cares.

Move the team to Hartford, CT!!!

Miami needs to move to San Antonio. Then Texas might have a team that will win. The Astros have all of the tools to be at the top of the division right now, but they still can't score worth crap.

Toronto. I believe the phrase is Americas sport not canada's. Next they will have a football team can you imagine canadians trying to play football. If they don't have a stick or a puck they don't know what to do. Move them to New Orleans If they suck at least they can got to bourbon st and have a good time.
