Teenagers do not have the judgment that adults have, at least most of the time. Charging them as adults makes assumptions about brain development that are not supported by edical evidence. Human brains are continuing to develop impulse control and empathy long past their ability to do long division and diagram sentences.
Therefore, I believe that all crimes committed before age 18 AT THE EARLIEST should be treated as a need for treatment and education rather than incarceration, although many times this treatment will need to be conducted in a locked facility.

The courts should be able to decide that for themselves!
And depending on the severity of the crime they should be charged as adults! And the number of offenses!

It depends on the crime/crimes committed. Murder and other violent acts against another person, the teen should be tried as an adult. I'm all for it.

Yes. And justice should be swift, and not played out for years. There are too many laws protecting the people that break them. I'm for capital punishment.

I don't know, the problem is we feed them murder on TV and in games from such an early age, that one could argue they barely understand the gravity of it.
So I'm not sure.
