hi. i have a 10 gallon tank. in the tank i keep 4 fish. the fish are: 1 jewel cichlid, 1 parrot, 1 texas cichlid, and 1 jack dempsy. i had the tank for about 6 months and during those months my fish were friendly and go along like family. sadly, nowadays my fish have been killing each other.
my guess is that i need a bigger tank. what do you (whoever answers this question) think i should do?

Well, that would take at least a 70 gallon to keep them from being all over each other all of the time, probably a larger tank would be in order before they all get to adult size. You basically have the choice of buying a really large tank and hoping for the best or getting fish more suited for a 10 gallon tank. Personally, I would return those fish to a shop for some credit and select some different , much smaller and more peaceful fish for the 10 gallon.

You've got a problem! All these fish you mention are very aggressive and territorial. A large tank (maybe 75 gal) would definitely help for now but they will all grow to a substantial size and you'll be back at square one.

Really the only thing that should be kept in a 10 gal tank are things like guppies (they will breed like crazy though and overpopulate), goldfish, maybe a school of 5 tetras, mollies....really nothing extravagant.

Do your research and find out what works for you and what is compatible.

That's a poorly chosen group of fish, there may not be an aquarium large enough. Reaserch first, then buy.

you should get at least a 55 gallon.

texas cichlids get like 12-15 inches full grown.

Those are all agressive fish. If you really want to keep them, buy a divider and put the fish that seem peaceful to each other on one side, and the rest on the other side.
