Just a thought from something that i've read. Each thought we exibit carries with it energy, and this energy goes out into the universe, depending whether its positive or negative, it will come back as "karma"...not sure how this is, you know, valid..but on certain occasions i actually think it can be proven...well from experience.

Matters of the spirit are separate from the world of matter and energy. I was with you until you started in on this "energy" and "kharma" jag.

James Randi has a standing $1 million prize to anyone who can prove such a thing.

Every thought may have energy, but to think that that energy can influence the universe is a misunderstanding of the nature of that mental energy. There is no mechanism for mental energy to interact with the physical universe.

Generally what happens is that people count the times they have a correct answer and ignore the times they miss. Then they overestimate how often they are right.

Read "Why People Believe Weird Things" and "The Demon Haunted World" for a better understanding of some of these issues.

Yes, it is a viable possibility. Happens all the time in my house, lol. There have been many attempts to "prove" this concept, yet scientists hesitate to say it is possible to "prove". I contend that proof has been achieved. Physics has shown that when one atom starts vibrating, another in a totally different space can start vibrating spontaneously "in tandem", or in harmony, with the first atom. One may apparently be "influencing" the other. Another example is of monkeys. Anthropology has studied the phenomena of different species in different parts of the world "discovering" the same thought at roughly the same time. For example, one monkey in one place learns that food tastes better if she washes it in the creek first. Half-way across the world, another monkey "discovers" the same thing simultaneously. No monkey before them has ever had that "thought".

However... the karma thing you speak of, where ever you read that from, that person that wrote it has a biased understanding of "karma". Karma is not a "punishment", or a "consequence" of actions taken. Rather, karma is a lesson we must learn, a way of the universe to assist our human growth and expansion.

How can it be proven? Can it be proven definitively and repeatedly? There is no way for your thoughts to directly interact with the world outside of your body. They are not matter that can reach out and touch something/somebody. They are electric impulses that are created by and remain in your body. That doesn't mean you can't impact the world around you by *acting* on your thoughts, but that requires physical action by your body, not your mind.

bypass via their ideals----the place do they bypass as quickly as they die? If this is heaven or hell or purgatory and so on. what stands out as the purpose of earth? I even have had acquaintances in all religions i think of. i will't discover one (different than Jehovah's Witnesses) that have faith in a Paradise Earth with eternal life on it. Who have faith the soul does die. maximum religions could make a real mess out of the Bible. It replaced into advantageous to be shown why Acts 8:30&31.

It has been proven, but it's not socially acceptable. Charles Filmore called it the ethers.

So if you want to prove it to yourself, just get really spiritual and whatever you think about just materializes.

It's really kind of spooky - maybe that's why it's not socially acceptable.

Anyway, if everybody did it, wouldn't we have an awful lot of EXCESS, people being how they are?

I do, absolutely believe that our thoughts influence reality. I agree, thoughts are energy. Thoughts can affect others for good or ill, they can also affect yourself.
