LOL!!! I cant believe what he did to get Brady Quinn. Trade a 1st round pick and a pick in this draft for him. That was to much for him. I dont think he was worth it. Dallas should be happy as crap for having 2 picks in the 1st round.

WOW!!! Just realized if the Browns finish this 08 season with the worst record in the league the Dallas Cowboys will have the 1st pick in the 08 draft. DAMN! Too bad for Cleveland!

I mean come on. Brady Quinn is not really worth a 1st round pick. It's always someone out their that is better than him. All this talk about him being the future and the best BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! HE'S JUST A ROOKIE I MEAN COME ON! HOW ARE ALL THESE FORTUNE TELLERS TELLING HIS FUTURE!!! Brady is not the best no matter how hard the Browns and company ride his joc if you know what I mean.

This will either be the greatest draft ever for Cleveland or bury them. If JT turns out to be the next great Tackle, Quinn the next great QB and Wright the next great DB. Then Cleveland is in the Superbowl by 2010.

If either or both of the first two turn out to be flops the Browns will be making an early first round pick in 09.

Obviously you are young and not familiar with football. Trading a first round pick in the 2008 draft and a second round pick the 2007 draft is great value for Cleveland. Drafting a QB at 22 instead of 3 is a savings of close to 17-22 Million Dollars for Cleveland. Lets say Cleveland does end up with the 1st pick in next years draft. Then what? Who will be available? Will he be better then Brady Quinn? Also drafting a QB now instead of next lets him be one year ahead of next years pick. One more year to grow and be ready to become an excelling NFL starting QB. Ok Now lets say the Browns finish with a record of 6-10 7-9 or 8-8. with that record they would only get a mid 1st round pick. With that pick would an elite QB be there? Probably not. QB's don't fall that often. Look back to the 1999 NFL draft look at all the QB's taken in that draft within the first 15 picks. Couch, Alkali Smith, McNabb, Cullpepper, and Cade McNown. How many of them are still in the league? Only 2. I Guarantee that Quinn will be in the league 10 years from now.

He came from a Prostyle offensive system in Notre Dame. He came from a former offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots, Charlie Weiss. He is more ready right now then Jamarcus Russell. Russell had one good game, Quinn had 3 good season in ND. Look up the stats...in 1 year Quinn threw almost as many TD's as Russell did in his whole college Career.

What are you talking about "he is not the best" best what? He was the best QB in the draft this year. He is top 5 talent. Meaning he should have been taking in the first 5 picks in the draft, but due to team needs no one took him because they had needs in other places other then QB.

I think you need to research before you speak. Realize what you are saying and think before you speak. Just so you know with the steps taken the Browns wont finish in the top 5 picks in the 2008 NFL draft. The Browns were able to get 2 players in the top 5 overall rated players in the draft and got first round talent in the second round with Eric Wright CB. Plus the last few seasons the Browns have solidified their offensive line with free agency, all they need is not to become injured. Along with the signing of 2000 yard rusher Jamal Lewis, Joe Thomas, Brady Quinn, Kellen Winslow, Brylon Edwards and other offensive players the Browns will Surprise people this year including you kid... Just remember I told you so.

Ive been a huge Browns fan my entire life and have missed a handful of games since the 80's. I'd have to say this may prove to either be a) The worst decision of franchise history or b) A good decision marking the turning point.

If Quinn is a bust the Browns are giving up a high 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick for this guy. I'd love to say they'll improve and be in the middle of the draft...but look at our division. Three teams that could win almost any other division in the NFL. Not to mention we have HUGE holes on the right side of the line, and the entire D-Line.

Not to mention we didnt do a DAMN THING to improve one of the worst run defenses in the NFL...and we won't be able to until the 2nd round of next year either. When you're in a division with Rudi Johnson, Willis McGahee, and Willie Parker...run defense is key!

I don't believe it was much of a reach. He was very high on their list and were fortunate to give up so little for him. All they did was trade next year's first round for a first round this year. They just got a franchise QB a year earlier.

I'm a Cowboys fan, so obviously I was very glad that this happens, but then we turned around and idiotically trade our second, third, and sixth rounders for another first round pick.

In any case, I think Cleveland will have a nice quarterback controversy with Brady Quinn, Charlie Frye, and Derek Anderson battling for the starting job.

Nobody knows what a draft choice will do. Lets just say Savage used next years pick this year. and got a franchise Quarterback he will pay less then half of what the Raiders will pay Russell, and less then what the cowboys will pay the player they pick next year. If you ask me it was a slick move by the Browns to get 2 of the top 5 rated players coming into this draft.

C) by way of the previous couple of years Jon Daniels has made smart and questionable acquisitions for the Rangers. I credit him for having the ability to convey Pudge back and the purchase of Hamilton paid off final 12 months. yet there have been trades which disillusioned me like whilst he sent off Adrian Gonzalez and Chris youthful to San Diego and whilst Tex became sent to Atlanta. If Chris youthful became nonetheless around the pitching may well be extra effective than what this is powerful now inspite of the fulfillment for various of this season. If Tex became nonetheless around the Rangers might nonetheless have a nicely-rounded first baseman simply by fact Tex remains between the proper interior the sport.

i agree dallas is laughing all the way top the bank, they got a 1rd pick for next year for a 3rd and a 5th this year, remember, philly traded w/ dallas and let them in for a 2nd and a 4th (i think) and dallas took spencer DE at 26..just like they wanted at 22, and he's a hot prospect for defensive ROY early. dallas and cleveland both made out like hell with this trade
