I am looking for a way to use my monitor as a TV when I travel, but I don't want to lug my desktop with me. I wondered if their is some type of device I could hook it up to convert the cable TV to the DVI cable I have going in the monitor. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If your monitor has a standard D-Sub connector, you can use this:

or something similar. You might also be able to find a product like that that for a DVI connection.

So you're gonna lug you desktop monitor about? Use a laptop with a with a digi tv usb card.

hi, as for myself I chosen a Samsung fifty 5 inch LED T.V. for my computing gadget reveal screen, I also use my Play station 3 and obviously use it for a T.V. what you should pick is what's great on your funds.
