No war. Life is not a conflict. It is a search for joyful creation!
What is war but competition? For what? For the resources that we have convinced ourselves that there is some lack of. There is no lack. There is enough for all in this world to be fed, housed, clothed and educated if only we would all share and not be worried about how much we "own".

I'm personally against all violence, but I believe that as humans we are unable to thwart our nature at times. Violence is a method that we use to obtain that which is being denied us by either other people or by a barrier. As a species, we are selfish by nature as a means of survival. That method has carried forward even into our present where in many cases we no longer have the need to obtain our desires through selfish and violent means.
"If the only tool you have is a hammer, then every problem looks like a nail to you."
As a species that has evolved with a higher brain function that has allowed us to develop a society with social norms and values that parallel our laws, we all know that violence is wrong, but are sometimes overtaken by our basic nature to obtain what we desire whether it be through selfish greed or rage.
In all past and current cases, wars have been resolved through violent measures. If a day comes to pass where we can conduct wars without violence then they wouldn't be such a bad thing.

War, - per se, - has MANY different forms! There is, - most CERTAINLY, - the kind of war, that KILLS, - there has been, since time BEGAN!
However, there's ANOTHER kind, - and, for ME, that's a TOUGHER one, to FIGHT! If you will view my Yahoo 360 page, - I think you'll see what I mean!
I fight a HUGE BATTLE, every single MOMENT, of my life, - JUST to stay relatively MOBILE, - having been, - firstly, - stricken, with MENINGITIS, as a BABY, - then, - as time progressed, - FURTHER diagnosed, as suffering both OSTEO, - AND RHEUMATOID, - ARTHRITIS! Of course, I accept, that there are those, who will point me, towards JOINT REPLACEMENTS, - and, I THANK YOU for doing so, - but, - as I'm in my mid FORTIES, - the medics tell me, that I am TOO YOUNG, to HAVE them!
So, - for a FEW YEARS, YET, - I have no alternative, but to SUFFER, - until someone decides that the operations SHOULD be made available, to me!
So, - you SEE, - your question raises MORE than just the OBVIOUS "YES" or "NO" answers!
Some of us, don't have a CHOICE, - we HAVE to fight, - whether we LIKE IT, or NOT!

Viewing life as a conflict is a chosen perspective.
For every difference each person or each group has, there are also commonalities. Those who choose anger and agression will always find an excuse to harm one another. The rest of us will find ways to get along and live our lives in a way that makes sense to us.

All great advances in the world have come about, either directly or indirectly, through war and competition against enemies. We would not be having this conversation if it wasn't for war. There would be no America if there wasn't war.
Of course, with good comes bad, but the bad cannot be overcome without more good. It is an endless cycle, I'm afraid. We have to change to end the cycle. But who is willing to change?

The pen and the round table are better than the wars, but the selfishness of the humans prefer the war.

Peace cannot exist without conflict to bring it about. For every one man seeking good will there are three seeking absolute power. War is inevitable.

Not necessarily conflict, but struggle and competition. Only when the stubborn refuse to yield even though they have lost, leads to conflict which may disintegrate into battle. We still have not gotten past the ancient ritual of trial by combat.
