If a person walks out of a shower in full makeup, and their hair perfect...you are watching a soap opera. Another clue...if the main character is named Erica and has 12 last names...it's a soap.

bad acting, excessively good looking people and Dumb plots. oh and whatever you catch your mom watching during the day is always soap operas or opra.
