One day maybe a true workers paradise can be completed here in America. True Communism is not a feasible idea, but democratic socialism is practiced in many places around the world and is successful. The problem is today we teach our kids that money is the true meaning of life, and that if someone is poor, they must have slacked off somewhere. No one has a problem with kicking the working class while they are down. No one has a problem stepping over homeless people saying that they are slackers, when really they have a mental disability, that with no health care can't be treated. You people call yourself Christians and it truly makes me sick. Its not about money, its about compassion and humanity, good and evil. If you can sleep at night knowing that people die and still call yourself Christian then God will judge you at the gates Neo-Cons.

By the way I'm a CHRISTIAN Democratic Socialist, I know it's a horrible oxymoron.

My goodness, but socialism is alive and kicking!

No. That would mean that capitalism would die.
No. That would mean that people would work for the state.
No. That would mean that there would be no more incentives for doing a good job (that's competition).
No. That would mean that the majority of workers would do the minimum necessary because they'd get paid the same anyway.
No. That means that being able to start your own business is gone.

Most of us aren't that stupid. We love our government, and the freedoms it gives us.

Those of us who understand government (anyone who wants to) understand that we ARE the government, the business owners, etc. WE are the very "facist elite" you hate so much and want to steal everything from because you don't want to get off your rear and make something worthwhile with your life (other than destroying the lives of others for your ideology).

Oh, you have free speech, and I WANT you to speak up.

Just makes us stronger, the more we see. Free speech is wonderful that way.

No.

At it's worst, the American job market still provides a relatively comfortable style of living for most folks, and they're not going to risk getting arrested or shot to "overthrow" anything.

If they can find them. The trouble with workers is they become Fascist elite as soon as they take power. Remember, workers are human too. Look at China today.

No, because that's communistic thoughts. We fought an entire Cold War that lasted three decades to over throw the evils of worker's rights.

Great idea! Then we can have a 'worker's paradise' like North Korea or Cuba and be tyrannized by the liberal elite.

No. They don't have time to take off, working two jobs to make ends meet, to stage an overthrow of anything!

They would do so at their own peril and that of the country.

Your so-called fascist elite are the one's financing this country and greasing the skids of progress, Einstein. Without them, the country collapses. (who pays the taxes dude?)
