No this is not unusual at all. My sister does this to her husband at all and he likes it lol. He is used to it. If your husband hates it then try to understand it and not do it so much and try to let go of this habit if at all possible.

I don't know if it's unusual, but I can't imagine what possesses you to do such things. If your husband hates it, stop it. Give the poor guy a break. Take care of yourself. He's not your toy.

It's probably just a throw back from our primate instincts. I can't stop myself from picking my boyfriends dry skin, or pop a blackhead. Of course, it grosses me out when he does it to me.

You're like a monkey. It means you care about him. They do that to each other when they care about each other.
Try to stop yourself from doing it if it bothers him. You CAN let him know that you only do it because you care. But try and think about how you'd feel if he did it to you.
Yes it is unusual but it makes sense.

I think it is totally normal. I don't pick at my boyfriend, but I pick at myself. I pick ALL of my scabs, I pick dry skin, zits. I think most people pick at something. My mom also picks at all of us kids. We hate it, but she can't help it. And my college professor used to say that he would pin his wife down if he saw a zit on her, he HAD to pick it.
So I think it is a weird thing that most people tend to do.

Well, personally, I find that gross. Cleaning his ears? I mean come on! I can understand why he hates this, it's beyond just nagging at him to take care of his appearance, acting on it! You treat him like a child. And you have sex with this man? Yuck!

I only do this if my husband asks me to, otherwise I don't pick at anything.

Yeah, I'd say it is. It's particular common with women who pick themselves, too.
