I recently wrote about the monitor. I followed the advice of Alex (I think that was who it was) and attached it to my other computer. It worked like a charm. I have taken everything loose like the hard drive, dvd player and CD and then attached each one individually like a web site recommended but still not luck. I know the monitor works but how can I install windows again ..someone said that may be the problem...if the monitor isn't working. I wouldn't be able to install windows without seeing something on the screen.

If the monitor works on another system then it is something with your PC.

Do you get any activity on the hard drive when you boot? It will spin up when it gets power, but the LED will only come on if it actually access the drive. If you do not have a drive LED you should be able to hear the head 'chatter'.

Hold down the key that will take you into BIOS on boot (DEL / F1 / etc.)

Check the pins in the video cable to make sure none are bent. Check to see if there are any signs of the video cable being kinked - you may have snapped one of the internal wires.

If you can, try another video card.

Try pulling everything from the system except video and memory and see if you can boot into BIOS

it could also be your graphics card, Open up your computer and take a look to see if anything looks loose on it.
