didnt quite @get@ the next bit of the Q. but yes, I do live on a council estate and I live half way up the block of around 10 floors overlooking the most expensive part of south east London. Half my block have bought their own place and still live here.
It is an eyesaw, it was built in the early 1970s when all good eyesaws were built. But I dont care, when I'm inside, I look out and I cannot see the eyesaw anymore- thats just for the posh people in their yuppy mansions to gawp at. My view is way more stunning than theirs and I dont have to sleep with the boss just to maintain my job! HA!

actually, i do, and furthermore i resent the implication that we are all thick chavs... i have 2 degrees, my wife has one, my daughter is about to study medicine at uni...
don't presume were all workshy doleys who cant buy a house... i'm socialist, and i dont agree with buying and selling houses...we need a roof, we need community, not the greedy parasiting themselves on the needy...
ive lived here since 1962, i was 5.. this is my home, would you have me castigate it for geography or demographic population... we were once described as a last great white ghetto... you see chavs, i see a community...
whats wrong with that?
