Signers of the DoI that were Freemasons

William Ellery, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, Joseph Hewes, William Hooper, Thomas McKean (listed as a visitor, not sure if he was actually a Freemason), Robert Treat Paine, Richard Stockton, George Walton, William Whipple.

Which makes 9 out of the 56 Freemasons, 1 definitely visited a masonic lodge but not sure in what context.

So not predominantly no.

Also signers of the Constitution that were Freemasons,

Gunning Bedford, Jr., John Blair, David Brearley, Daniel Carroll, Jonathan Dayton, John Dickinson, Benjamin Franklinm, Nicholas Gilman, Rufus King, James McHenry, William Paterson, George Washington.

Not even half!!!
