Bonjour! The girl UNDER Wonderwo....that was a rude remark. I added the second details to explain that I have so many things I want to write about....I know I have a journalist's brain. I have received several rewards in writing and was chosen to say the speech at our high school graduation. So when you have done those things too you can talk to me rudely. I thank the other people though! Don't think I'm a rude person, I just don't think people should criticize untill they know the exact truth.

You should come to Canada to learn about Journalism..
There are some colleges here where you can learn it. Or
there might be an Online course good for those that don't want to travel or don't want to waste $'s on travelling!
You might want to pick up a copy of Writers Digest,
or Journalism At It's Best! These magazines might help you
but in my opinion they aren't worth the price they ask now adays!

Welcome to the U.S. ! One thing you should know about our country is that 'celebrity worship' is big...sickenly BIG. Newspapers, radio and t.v. give a lot of space to people like Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith, O J Simpson, Richard Gere, Rob Lowe, "Kramer", etc. Scandal and gossip are big news here and journalism has become much like that of the tabloid rags. Occasionally, they squeeze in some real news. "Breaking News" can be anything from hanging Saddam to David Haselhoff sitting on the floor, drunk, being filmed by his kids.

America is the wrong place to learn about Journalism... there is too much "sensationalism" in our media now and people have forgotten what it is like to write about important things honestly.

Now, if you watch programs like Fox News, it is all a bunch of opinionated loud-mouths with no credit to their name...

Maybe you should write about "Ethics in Journalism" or about how corporate advertisers have ruined the integrity of journalism to the point where we can't trust the TV or the newspapers to be honest with us.

You have a really big problem if you are just getting started and you have no idea what to write about. If you had a journalist's brain, you would have a constant catalogue of story ideas in your head that you want to explore.

Make your topic something local, possbily to your university. That way you can interview people on campus and really show you're willing to hit the streets and talk to people.

How about "Mastery Of The English Language"?

This would be especially appreciated by those AMERICANS who would be reading your newspaper articles.
