Oh sweetie!! Poor gal, because you've been ill and below par, your nutritional intake has probably suffered. You have a vitamin B2 deficiency. No biggy, but I assure you the pain is isn't it!! Easy to remedy...... jus increase your intake of foods rich in this vitamin:
B2: Milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and peas, beans and lentils.
Other symptoms you may be suffering are grainy and sandy feelings under your eyelids, sore lips, mouth and tongue, cracked and splitting skin around your fingernails and general irritability and moodiness?? Definitely vitamin B2 deficiency. The best part is that as soon as you correct the nutritional deficiency your symptoms will be eliminated!!
B2 is a water soluble vitamin and needs to be replenished in our bodies on a daily basis. The body can neither produce or store this vitamin. If you don't make sure you get at least 1.2 - 1.7mg per day you will continue to suffer from the symptoms.
Hey, chin up, it's o.k. this is the most popular vitamin deficiency in the United States apparently!! I suppose because it's not contained in an easy to grab snack food............... CHEERS & GOOD HEALTH 2 U

Hi SAMMI, a good way of treating mouth ulcers is with coconut oil which kills the bacteria that causes them. It is also good for treating throat infections, gum disease and cavities.
Normally mouth ulcers are caused by either virus, bacteria or fungus and may result in the body’s own immune system attacking the mucosal lining of the mouth. But you can to accelerate process of healing. Certainly coconut oil is ideal for helping to relieve the pain felt from mouth ulcers instantly all you need is get a tablespoon of coconut oil and hold it for a minute on the mouth ulcer. Soon you will feel the pain going away and this relief seems to last for quite a while because of the MCFA’s (medium chain fatty acids) find in coconut oil which are rapidly absorbed in to the body and thus the healing process is accelerated.
The way coconut oil works is that it has anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties and which can help to combat viruses, bacteria and fungus.

you should also try rinsing with a 50% mix 3% Hydrogen Peroxide like use i capful Peroxide and 1 capful water and swish it around, it may not feel too good at first but it should help
You may also want to take a 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda in a glass of water and drink that on an empty stomach and wait 1 hour after it to eat. that should help the stomach out a little bit and lower the acidity of your system.

I use Zilactin for cold sores. It has a medicine taste, of course, but it normally heals the sores within 3 days. Also, eat yogurt to diminish the pain and to help prevent future breakouts.

Go to your nearest health food or whole food store and buy apple cider vinegar organic raw unfiltered, swish in mouth or sip from a glass of warm distilled water, they both should relieve the pain. Good luck

I have this same problem. I have spent the last 13 years trying to figure out what it is, and how to heal it. I also used to have sores break out in several "weak spots" on my body.
For me it is candida overgrowth (yeast). Vinegar, yeast bread, sugar, white flour/pastas/rice, cheese produced by mold or vinegar (rennet is ok), and high-carb veggies feed yeast. You might try cutting out all carbs for the time being, and see if that helps you feel better. Lemon juice is the number one thing that has saved my life, started cleaning my system out, and the sores have definitely diminished in intensity. Had an outbreak a few days ago, but they are already healing, which is something that hasn't happened for years, as they used to just go "on and on and on" for months and I couldn't heal them. Now, with the lemon juice, and this last outbreak, they've healed within 3 days, so I am getting closer to a cleaner body.
Here's a lemonade drink you might experiment with:
1 cup lemon juice concentrate
Note: this ***has*** to be real lemon juice concentrate, not the pre-packaged powdered fake lemonade stuff.
2 quarts water
Just enough splenda to take the "edge" of the sour, don't make it "too sweet". No regular sugar, as that defeats the purpose of starving the candida out; as was already mentioned, sugar feeds yeast. I drink half a cup of the lemonade first thing in the morning, sometimes drinking more during the day whenever I feel like it. It has definitely eliminated my "craving" for sugar, which is a sign of candida as well. If you have such cravings, it might be an indication of this condition for you.
The whole point of restricting carbs for a while is to starve the candida so it will "die off" and your body will eliminate it. Lots of water is important to help your body eliminate. Water helps relieve that "sick" feeling too.
Other very important foods to eat are plain, non-fat yogurt (no commercially added fruit in other words because those types of yogurt have added sugar in them), low-glycemic fruits (berries are best) you can add to the yogurt to make smoothies, white meat (beans are actually a "no-no" as they are way too high in carbs, so soy as a protein source is an "off-the-list" food as well), cruciferous veggies (cauliflower, broccoli, etc.), and LOTS of greens. I put imitation crab meat or chicken breast in with my salad and use a 1-part-to-1-part mixture of canola oil and lemon juice concentrate salad dressing, it's great. :) Canola oil makes tissue "slick" and makes it so candida yeast cannot attach and "take hold". Eat small meals, every 2 to 3 hours, and make protein a priority. Protein helps your body mend the damage to tissues candida causes (ie, the sores). If this works and you start feeling better, wait about a month and then very carefully, one food at a time, add back in a few carbs, but with a few changes. No white flour... breads/pastas/rice need to be whole grain. Sugar free candy if you want to "treat" yourself, but still, with much moderation. Ice cream needs to be sugar free, not "low-carb". The issue with all this is the high fructose corn syrup problem. High fructose corn syrup feeds yeast as well, so if you go back to eating foods containing this ingredient, you will not keep the yeasty-beasties "under control".
If you do choose to try these suggestions and it is a candida yeast issue, you should start feeling better within a few days of trying the lemon juice, restricted carbs, and protein, although it will take a while to heal completely. Persistence is a virtue in this case. Keep in mind that candida is "normal", that humans are born with them just as they are born with the "good bacteria" such as acidophilus (that is found in yogurt). The issue is that our modern Western diet feeds yeast, which is opportunistic, and the good bacteria get overwhelmed because they are not opportunistic. If trying these suggestions *doesn't* work, the issue may be something else entirely, and you might need to consider seeing your dentist, perhaps it is a sign of an abcessed tooth, or go to your doctor for professional help and medications. ;) Good luck with finding resolution, I feel for ya, as I know how painful it is!

you're starting to be fever blisters. style of like a chilly sore. they may be painful. If that's what they are, attempt Abreva. It cuts the healing time in 0.5. i'm getting them each and all of the time! feels like your immune equipment is administered down. look after your self!
